morning folks....i see you've made it through the rough weather rook !!

So far but it ain’t over till mid October bart. For us anyway.

(EDIT: Sorry but I couldn't get the image of the lighthouse lens to load.:icon_scratch: It shows up in preview if that helps everybody envision it? :laughing7:)
Speaking of page 289....
I was at an estate sale this weekend and made some interesting purchases. Quite a range of stuff including a copper cap for a square piling filled with beach walking or metal detecting finds, a "Thunderbird", display cabinet, vintage Vermont snowshoes made with sinew, and one item that I'm hoping might be related to AARC's post here.
One side of the glass is flat and one side is convex. It's been handled roughly and had been cut from it's base mounting rod. It has three (3) adjustment knobs to alter the direction of the lens. My intitial thought was some type of very small lighthouse but wondering if it might be from something at an airport runway.
(Is it a simple fresnel lens.)

Pete, don´t you think that fire starter is a bit to heavy for the backpack?

I prefer one like this to start a camp fire
