Glass Bonsai with ceramic base - unknown marks

Hi, this is a piece that has sat in my attic for years (was my grandmothers), i've seen plenty on ebay for sale, but wasn't sure if they were just copies.

The mark underneath the base and full image below. Any help finding out what the marks are would be excellent.

Tourists piece...
the ones worth money are made of jade.
I cannot zoom this pic to see if this is in fact glass or jade petals/leafs.
They were mass produced.

The mark is Made in the People's Republic of China image.jpg
It a relatively modern piece.

If it was your Grandmothers see if you can find out when she visited China, If not from her then possibly other family know when or maybe it was given by friends who went.How many years has it been in your attic.It also could have been bought on a trip to one of our states that has a Chinese section in a city, like San Francisco has.
