I have been wanting to get out and do a park since I got my ACE250 but I had NO idea where there was one I could hit.
Well google maps was a big help
Since today was my day off from school I decided to hit it this morning, 7:30am I was strapped in and swinging. I started in all metal mode just to see if anything would jump out and it was target city... Every foot I was hitting something.. I dug at least 15 holes showing up as 5 cents and pennies that were all bottle caps and junk, so I switched to coins thinking it would fall silent.. but low and behold I was still getting targets on every swing... sometimes multiples side by side o_O
Literally there are so many targets to dig that I couldn't do it in a FULL day.. So I went after the most promising ones I came across.
This was was a got in an hour or so
Nothing too old.. I think 59 was the oldest.. the Quarters are '80, '85 and '90 (go figure 5 years apart on the 3.. HA)
It also seems that here in Florida any hole you dig already belongs to somebody else.. While digging a hole I felt something weird on my hand and when it started burning I realized the ANTS WERE BITING ME! Lil buggers... That continued throughout my digging time xD I had a hard time rescuing one of the Dimes from the middle of an Ant hill.. I had to think REALLY hard about digging that one.. curiosity got the better of me xD
Then as I was walking out of the park (scanning as I walked) I saw the pennies and dimes I was leaving behind. When a BIG hit came across the screen 25 cents! Ding 50 cents! ding 1$ It jumped back and fourth from 50 cents to 1$ a few times and I thought good lord I have to dig it...
That's not even close... and how long has THAT been in there.. must have been YEARS since they used a big mower on that area. Ahh well had fun and have a LOT more targets to dig =D So I'll be heading back there MANY times =)
