Well, we finally got a drizzling of rain, so I figured I'd go out for a little bit this morning and do some looking around at the local University.
I did get stopped by one of the campus security, but I explained what I was doing, showed him the finds I had, and at the time, I had a lot more trash than keepers. Fortunatly, he was cool about it and just told me to make sure I wasn't tearing up the ground too bad.
Most of what I found were clad's. Bout halfway through my window of opportunity, I had a signal that measured about 5 inches, and showed quarter. Having pulled up a couple clads that way already, I thought I knew what I was digging up. But I was surprised, though certainly not dissappointed.
I pulled up a post office tag and a bit below that, I pulled up the 1961 Rosie. I got home and did a quick cleaning and the address on the tag told me one piece of cool info. It was addressed to the post office as a returner type id tag. But the address on it told me the tag was about 40 years old at least, since thats about how long it's been since the post office got moved to it's current location.
