Re: GOLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP RING!!!!

He played for several teams, starting with the Kamloops Jr. Oilers ('83'-'84); plenty of 'alumni' sources to get current info.
Good luck.

Re: GOLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP RING!!!!

NHL, NFL, NBA, ....shouldn't make a difference. A championship ring is at best a rarity when found, especially from a pro team. It's Banner material. Once it gets back to the owner it should be an Honorable Mention as well. Good luck on it BCBoy.

Re: GOLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP RING!!!!

Not that I want to sound like the typical Canadian but holy #*$! What a find! That's a killer ring!
How many people have found a WHL championship ring that belonged to a NHL defense man?
It would be great to see a true Canadian find up on the banner and my vote is in.
Everyone has watched an NHL game at least once in their life.
BANNER!!!!!!
Dave.

I bet if it was a football ring having belonged to someone in the NFL it would be up there. Not sure why NHL is different.

If it was football i'd say Melt it down.

any word yet ?

There was a post a year or so ago about an attempt to return a high school ring found at "The Shark Pit". The owner was a lawyer and when he got the call he thought he was being scammed somehow because it was "impossible for anyone to have is class ring." He had lost it while swimming at the beach in the summer after his senior year - 1963.

I don't recall how it got resolved but the guy got his ring back just before his class reunion.

So... keep trying. I suggest a letter with pictures.

P.S. Congrats on the banner.

Hopefully Mr. Kachowski will call me back this evening after 5 P.M. And I can explain that indeed this is real...and forward him to BCBOY.

Cool ring, I'm sure he'll be happy to get it back. Maybe you'll get a reward out of the deal to, never know. U might get to meet a pro hockey player out of the deal too. Nice work!!
