Was the ring whole? I was trying to figure out if the cross is part of the same ring.

Yes , I too am interested in the partially revealed item/s in the pics next to the ring - Great find/s

Nice ring. Great ending to the story.

The ring was in two pieces before I dug it. Dirt was caked under the stone but yes I was stoked to have found it. I also found a very early wheat and a cool pendant with an indian on it all I can see so far is the headdress

Great find and glad you got a hold of the owner so fast!!

[Chestdiesel]

That's awesome! Would love to be able to do that for somebody someday. Lost my wallet with $1,200 cash in it one time, all the money a starving college kid had at the time. All going towards rent that day. I was horrified. I looked high and low. Went home not knowing what I was gonna do. There was a message from the police department saying that somebody found it and dumped it off at the station. Went down there, and not a dollar was missing. I was so thankful, but upset because the person did not leave a name or number so I could repay their kindness. I told myself that day that I'd always do my best to return lost valuables. Good to see that there's still good people out there. Cheers.
