Well SH#$. Looks like I just started a foil cleanup non profit.
I guess that is why beep and dig detectors are still king in the gold arena. No numbers to look at.
I’ve been passing up a lot of low tones. All that gold lol. Not no more
Me too... I have been disc below 7 because it's been all trash. My wife's rings also came up at 4 and 6.
Now that is strange

Ya know fella's, I do not think a lot has changed with any detector, not really, in that it is STILL a judgement call, to dig or not. Pull tabs, gold rings, nickels can be all over the map, be it shape, size, angle, depth.....still up to the operator. I for one cannot dig IT ALL, legs just won't take it anymore. Air test can be helpful, but not of course the final answer. Lots of great machines out there, and a lot of good people using them. What I tell people now is simple. 25% machine, 25% operator, and 50% luck.
Yep. The numbers give me some information but are not 100% accurate. As long as it can tell iron from non iron on the beach its a winner. On my nox, I have had pennies, gold, and bottle caps all ring up the same # in air tests.
