Not gold but I dredged this up a few years back. Its hand carved silver on a brass plate about 2" x 3". Came from the vicinity of a old mining town.

I'm all busted up again so my wife and I decided to head over to the N. Fork of the Yuba for a little R&R. Poking around near camp I found a little crack I could get to without messing myself up any further and this is the result of an hour here and there over a couple of days. This spot was the classic deal where literally a thousand people have stepped on, over, and around to get to the "real gold" they knew was across the river or around the next bend. I was gonna joke and say you might have seen my truck and camper recently but I thought better of it as that's really not a joking matter. And no I don't drive a white Ford with blue trim and a camper, lol.

Pack rat, really solid start, congrats!

Doc, don't be callin' 'em trash cons when many would dig HARD for that. Show some respect bro.

LOL.......... you're right.

"C" grade cons that we don't sell.
They don't make the cut so we just process ourselves.

A few pieces from a metal detecting trip about 3 years ago. Upper and lower are specimens. Upper in limonite, and lower in quartz. Left lower is a small silver nugget. Dennis

oooOOOOOOooooo!!! I like it Reed! Chunky, rough, heavy and shiny! I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 on the Drool-O-Meter!
