Well this week was another good one... Got the Dfx and Se to work hard and find over $25 in clad along with the Se finding the gold pendant, the larger silver ring stamped 925 and the wheaties... The dfx added the foreign coin from Guademalia and the silver ring which appears bent into a heart shape, possibly worn on a necklace? The thin silver ring is stamped sterling... Hope everyone is having a good weekend... Gregg :)

Hello Gregg!
Good to see you still bringing home the coinage and jewelry!
Honestly now, which machine do you prefer? :)

I like them both! I think they both have a place in my detecting style... I really have spent most of this year using the Se though... I like the added depth... :)

Thanks Bobby... I have been getting out a lot! Learning the Se has been interesting.... Still like to get the dfx out at least 5 times a month... Might start rotating it in a little more as I approach my clad total from last year.

Both are very good machines... If the dfx got the depth of the Se...it would be the complete machine... But the dfx is very good at picking up the jewelry and most finds up to 6-7 inches for me...and for some people that is all they want to dig... I wanted deeper and the Se takes care of that...I am constantly looking at my Lesche digger inside the hole up to and past the handle...that was not happening with the dfx...

But the dfx does find away to make me keep it also... Great to be able to change off every once in a while.... :icon_sunny:

Hello again Gregg!
Good answers and, politically correct! Lol!

You may recall, last year I bought a DFX and in all honesty I really liked it. In fact, I found a Barber nickel in an area where I had used my SE numerous times. There was a depth issue however. But, you know yourself there are times when you just can't go after those really deep targets. A local high school football field is/was one for me. Shoot, the maintenance guys didn't want me diggin nothinnnnnn! I finally concluded however; if I am going to swing one of these things, I want the bestest, badest out there! Swinging anything else is just a waste of time and energy! In my opinion of course. :)

Nice finds, Gregg!

Should I use the DFX or the SE today.... Hmm... that's the kind of decision that is nice to be able to make!

I'm am digging that ring! Great job.

Thanks everyone for helping keep me motivated... Just finished my hunt from today... Everyone have a good what is left of weekend... Gregg
