I switched gears this evening and decided to walk a couple dykes with my detector in tow. My first target was the Brylcreem bottle...first bottle I have dug that was intact.

My second target was a surprise. 14 K men's gold wedding ring. Inscription inside states 14k Bluebird Esquire. This is the 2nd gold ring that I have found in a most unlikely location. I'm a relic hunter and have only dug one other gold ring. I'll take it I guess.

Nice ring. I used to use brylcreem back in the day, but it was in a tube.

Congrats on two nice finds Romeo.
Gold is always great to find, and the complete Brylcreem bottle is a "slick" find too.

yo Romeo

From the land of the Bluenose.....nice bottle and ring. Walking the dykes is fun and a great view. Must have patience doing them though. Congrats!

Seems our BEST goodies come when we LEAST expect them. Nice dig

You just got to love gold!
Congrats on the finds!

That's a very nice and hefty band romeo-1, very nice indeed.
Congratulations

Thanks for sharing.

Not too hard to believe really

That ring came from an ole' swimmin' hole most likely and it probably has a lot more to give up.

The old rotted dyke of today was yesterday's prime pier.

Time to get in the water!
