Good bye

My wife gets 5-10 calls a day from someone wanting to sign her up for Medicare stuff. She does not need is since she is currently on my insurance. The numbers come up from all over the country.

I'd never buy from anyone anyone Who Calls Me cold.

I think i would rather get a phone call from these IRS scammers a couple times a year then have to deal with the 3 to 7 robo calls i get every day telling me i need to update my business google account listing.

I got a call from a "local" number yesterday that informed me that because of my perfect credit I qualified for 0% interest on all my credit cards. If you would like to take advantage of this offer stay on the line.....so I stayed. When they came on I listened to the spill and then replied "I would love to even have a credit card". There was an awkward silence and confusion on the other end until they hung up.... Did I do something wrong? :laughing7:

Funny how they know your Credit Record, Yet they Don't know your SS#,Your Address, Name, the Fact you have no Credit cards & sometimes
not even Your phone Number they are Talking to you at :laughing7:

You could do what I did one time, I told them that I was already going to jail for assault and battery on a telemarketer. I never heard back from them.

I like to answer junk calls. I like to try and see how long I can keep them on the line while offering absolutely no information whatsoever.I have not broken an hour yet, more like 20 minutes, but its a great hobby.

Duckshot.... Every now and then I get the "urge" to engage when one of these calls come in. My wife HATES it when I do. But usually it never happens unless I've had a "few" or am in a foul mood.

So... A call comes in. "Sir, do you know you owe this and that?"... yea. "Well here's how you can pay"... yea, but I'm not interested in paying. "Why, don't you care?"... no not really. "Well if you don't this is what is going to happen... do you understand?"... ya, but I don't care. "Don't you care about you good name"... naw, I just received 1.8 million from an estate sale so I have plenty to last the rest of my life. "But you have to pay your bills... don't you understand?" yea, but I don't give a shi*..!!!

Whenever this happens it pisses her off but I have a blast with it.... Just me being an ass! Signed, Brad

FYI: Our credit rating is the highest of the highest and we absolutely have NO LOANS, LIENS, CREDIT CARD DEBTS or outstanding debts. But we still get offers to "lower our credit card debt"...?

I felt compelled to come back and share this with my good buddies on this site. Since I'm a bit twisted and most of the time complete bored out of my mind, I almost welcome telemarketers. My favorite thing to do is talk real fast while asking them about a thousand questions, (remember, there taking MY time) I ask questions that would actually pertain to what ever it is there selling (remember, they get paid by the number of sales, so taking as much of THEIR time is important) I try and keep them for about 10 minutes ( that's when I get tiered of playing with the mouse, as the cat would say) After I have taken their time and ask all sorts of questions, I STOP, take a deep breath, them ask "is there a time limit on this offer because I would really like to take advantage of it ( you can hear them squirm in their seats because they think they have one) ?I always get the same response, "this offer is only good for a limited time" That's when I tell them that "this sounds like a really good offer but will it be available in say 5 to 7 years, because that how long I'll be in jail for" Click, EVERY TIME. Never get the same calls twice. One for me, I win.

Haha!

" Where you calling from? Nebraska? What's the weather like there today? Here it is partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Its always partly cloudy with a chance of rain around here, cause there is always a cloud and there is always a chance of rain. What did you say your name was again?"

If they ask for a credit card, I tell them hold on while I go get it. Then I set the phone down and walk away. I been hoping for one to still be there after ten minutes- " I couldn't find my card, hold on another minute while I look for the other one".

I'm with you Duckshot. I love getting bogus phone calls. If they have a foreign accent, it's even better.
If they are having trouble pronouncing a word, I ask them to spell it and then to suppress my laughrer.

I tell them " as an NSA employee I am now tracking your call, and this is being recorded for review, please proceed"

They called me. I knew it was a scam. I told him. “You know what you'er doing is criminal, and its also bad for your soul.” He hung up on me.

Phone calls numbers appear on my TV when it is on, so, I know who is calling. IRS do not make calls. They just sent the FBI to arrest you. So, Therefore pay your state and federal income taxes after selling treasures, you will not be arrested and sent off to jail for years. I am on a fix income and do not earn enough to pay state and federal income taxes.

OK, just like many here it seems, I've received those calls from the "IRS" about how I might be in trouble etc., and how I need to take care of it now etc., like with gift cards or something, and so one day when again I received one of those calls, I wanted to get a point across to the low life on the line by saying, "I was not aware of this", I don't want to be in trouble or go to jail or anything, how can I take care of this........He then tells me what I need to do right now to take care of it. I then replied that there might be a quicker and better way to resolve the problem, and that is if he could get a little hammer and a 3lb bag of sand, and take that little hammer and go pound all that sand up his ........you know he hung up? I felt pretty good.

My wife is so kind, "Sorry, no thank you"

I'm the 180 and I figure if they call me I have all the right to say what ever comes to mind. Now mind you it comes from the guy tat sits on my left shoulder, and it's usually pretty crude.

If one yells they don't listen, but if a person speaks in a very low tone and in a calm voice they're all ears.

The best if it's a guy and I calmly ask if they have another guy sitting beside them closely? They'll answer "yes". So I calmly tell them to give their mate a B# or something along those lines. It really seems to cut down on the repeat call backs, actually our phone is really quiet.

Many years ago I told one off bad and hung up, 5 minutes later I had her supervisor call me and start threatening me to call the CRTC on me and they would charge me.
I calmly informed her that she called me, and now I have got two calls from the same # (recorded) also that she was threatening me now.
Under the laws in Canada if somebody call you, well you can take the gloves off, if you call them-well you better watch the P's & Q's in speaking to the person.
She hung up on me after the informative lesson, and never had another call.

wow i feel better now

Yea Talking on the phone is a pain.

I always Talk Fast & find I'm talking the same time the other person is More then Not.

My Voice Probably rises in Volume too :laughing9:

I don't use a wireless Ear piece,
My Phone doesn't have a jack for an ear phone.
so my hand has to be holding the phone up to my ear Also.

(Speaker only works for talking. I can't hear well enough for the sPeaker)

Which would mean my arm Going to sleep if the call lasts long :(

Total Nightmare :coffee2:

& I'd want a computer screen, with tiny little writing, and Need to hold a Magnifying Glass yet to read Directions on increasing size etc. on Using it ?

Not in this Lifetime :(

even my Explorer Screen would be nice at twice it's size

man i feel ya ! thats bad ! i'm not that bad ! yet ! but i'm gettin there ! i'm just wonderin who's older ? i'm betting i'm older than you ? so i'm bettin you beat me there in a way ?
