Always a great place to do a little coinshooting!

Very nice saves. Hate to ask the dumb questions, but, what is a parking strip? Heard of parking lots, parking places, etc. but, never strips.

Congrats on your coin finds today jas! :icon_thumright:

Is the religious icon silver? :icon_scratch:

I'd love to find an IH here someday!

Thanks for asking.

I guess the best way to describe it is a grass median that runs down the center of the road. It used to be a trolly line with stops all along it, but now its just a grass strip ;D

Im not sure if its silver or not??? I looked for silver markings the only marking it had is "italy", but the way it came out of the ground. I would say its silver.
Im sure you will find an IH eventually you do pretty well for US coins up there.

They are just wish we had more of them here. Signals are pretty sparse there now, but no place is ever hunted out

Nice finds.

Thanks ;D

Those are hot! Nice work!

most of the stuff I've found that said Italy on it, was silver

It looks like you got some really nice coins there... Congratulations.

Very nice. Amazing how good those pennies look, down here they deteriorate more. And your buffalo nickel has a date. If I found that silver fob or medal thing down here, I'd be sure it's silver; silver holds up well, while silverplate and white base metal stuff deteriorate fast in our lawn soil.

Kinda depends on where you dig them around here. Ive had some that were pretty bad, but most fair well. Yeah buffalo nickels after they were in circulation for quite awhile tended to lose their dates, but personally I love finding nickels. They rank right up there with a silver coin for me. Im sure that neckless item is silver. Most other metals besides silver or gold would have discolored in some way if they had been there for any length of time, and all I did to clean that is run it under the faucet, which is all I do with most coins as well. Im kinda paranoid about that sorta thing lol :laughing7:

very nice finds!!
