:hello:

Went back to the newly rolled fields that we were driven from yesterday by the rain :-\ spring is really here :headbang: the field had dried and I headed straight for the corner were I got the hammered yesterday :o and got another straight away :o
Edward1 London Mint and a nice one at that :headbang:

Michael got one soon after another Edward, that's 8 from this spot, could be a scattered hoard :dontknow: but there are a lot of stones in this area and that could mask them :'( the only outher find from this field during the morning was a broken Celtic Toggle...so we moved fields :)

After dinner we headed to the outher side of the farm were they are to more rolled fields :o on my first run I had another hammered sadly well battered :'( looks like? York Mint, this field proved quite productive with some nice finds, including a Pan weight, not quite sure of the pattern on it :dontknow: a couple of scrappy Roman Bronzes showed up then a real nice one :o another counterfeit Silver in the form of a George111 shilling :) and Michael topped the day of with a debased Roman Silver :headbang:....A Good Day :icon_thumleft:

Thats the way we like to find hammered, I'm still hoping for a nice shortcross this year, never really had one last year. I would swap any of your fields for the wood right now. I'm just playing the waiting game now...

Keep hoovering them up & take some days off
Would have been expecting between 15..20 hammered, before the crop got to long, but we have lost a really good farm :'(

Gutted :(

How about a "COINGRATULATIONS" SS. Unbeleivable the finds and depth of history you recover.
I always enjoy seeing your finds. Amazing.

It must really suck to loose a field that produces like that. Sort of like loosing a old friend, always there for no matter how bad the storm is.

That is one beauty hammered, and the other finds are worthy as well. :icon_thumright:
Still another 6 months till I see the UK fields again.

Yep it's a real kick in the you know were :tard: I can't beleive these big land owners would rather leave Artifacts and outher stuff in the ground, to be eventually destroyed by the plough :icon_scratch: just doesn't make any sence :'(

Were in the UK are you coming to?
