That was a stellar day and the fact that you baptized a new collector will prevent history from being put on a shelf in some museum to never be seen for years or ever. We join your thrill and pleasure in holding a tool that was survival to a man and his family millenia ago. Most seemed very usable, like always, I wonder when I find or see those you have found, why were they abandoned?

Yeah it was a good day , I have wondered that myself why so many are found where they are but I think we can’t even imagine how many tribes and just how many people there were living on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries I was looking st a map the other day of John Smiths expedition and it has some camps and tribes marked on it and every single area on the map is filled in. I’m guessing hunting along the water caused a lot of lost points and also tribal battles and colonial settlements pushed them farther west and they left in a hurry but still it’s amazing just how many artifacts are found on the shorelines near me and still left to be found
