good luck swastika ?????

Here's an odd find of mine......it has a boy or man on a horse with "the original boy scouts shoe for boys July 1910" on the front and has a swastika with a horse shoe, 4 leaf clover and 2 other small symbols (not sure what they are ?) that says "good luck, manufactured excelsior shoe c_______ " can't read the rest on the back. Would appreciate any info on this, thanks for looking.

this was a good luck symbol for centuries. till hitler tilted it 45 deg. and than the symbol was known as a swastika. i got one just like it without the hole last winter here in tx. nice find !!

This same "swastika-like" symbol is found in the Orient. It is of Buddhist origin, and had a meaning of good luck.
Hitler - as has been previously stated - tilted it, and it was born into the form we now know as the swastika. (so much for
good luck, swastika-style.) Very common on buildings, etc here in S. Korea.

As everyone else is stating, the symbol has been found in pieces all over the world, sometimes going the other direction and pretty much exclusively for good luck until the Nazi's took it over and now tarnished the symbolism found in all these cultures.

Doesn't seem to matter if it's tilted, still a Sanskrit AND Native American good luck symbol way before 1900.
