Good news is I got a piece of iron the bad part is I lost my Garrett pin pointer

I have my share of irons in my house but I never found one that was intact. Now I got a rod in our back tomorrow after our vote and walk around and look for it I walked around for two solid hours and it was in like a 40 x 40 spot. Uggh


I’ve never have gotten a full iron all the ones I found the handle is broken and it was deep everything I have found their cannonball the 1809 8 reales it’s some hard digging. But I overcome

Last week I found a percussion rifle barrel and lost my Garrett pinpointer in the woods ! Hiked a mile back to the site and couldn't find it.

I lost mine in a field which a big Orange thing should stick out like a sore thumb I even opened all the plugs up that a dog thinking maybe I was just stupid enough to bury it. Well I was smart enough not to bury it but I have no idea where that sucker went

Hey small foot I had a chip away that rust with a small hammer and a screwdriver enough to take a lot of the rust off but not knowing if the rust is what is keeping the handle on so I backed off

Very nice iron, should clean up nicely! Sorry about the pin pointer, I have both mine tethered to my finds bag with expandable lanyard.

Hey Professor I did my best at it I used a small hammer And a small screwdriver and went at it but I was kind of nervous around where the handle meets the iron because I don’t know if the rust is what’s holding it better. And I’m not trying to think on my own because every time I do ruin it

Mine is tethered to my finds pouch. I’ve lost my fair share of screwdrivers and digging tools. How the heck can something so big be so darn hard to find?

Especially when you know you check the plug before and you used it And then 10 feet from it you dug another plug and didn’t have it so one would figure it’s 10 feet away are all I noticed things in China

Well the looking paid off I found my carrot it’s got a big bite out of it but I think I can what y’all call Jerry rig it

It looks like it should be OK but it’s not when the battery is in it just keeps going off without stopping ugggh

Send it in to Garrett they will probably replace it or fix it for free. Depends on how long you have had it.Give them a call and maybe send a picture explaining what happened.
