Gorgeous dandy button & more colonial

I got out with the B.O.B's this morning for a rainy cold hunt. It was a long shot Bartek found, based on topography, aerials, and a known colonial road. The results were mixed, but made for a good hunt

The pewter button was a nice find, and a KG2 is always a pleasure. I actually had to sand corrosion off the copper(yes, with very light grit sandpaper), but hey I got an ID. The Dandy is my favorite find. I've never seen an example of this design.

WOW... That sure is a Dandy. I liked looking at the toy cars and trucks that people found but it seems I'm starting to lean towards buttons more now.

I agree. I was never into buttons as much as the other relics until I scored some GW's and 1812 buttons. Now I like them as much or better than old coppers.

Nice button, I'm building the doors today on the shed and back to the beanfield, I'll make a trip up to that spot soon see if I can figure out a permission there. I'll let you know.

You've had many many buttons cross your desk, so it's pretty awesome you haven't seen this design. I've probably found maybe 500ish? flat buttons and I think this one is my best civvy. Or close. Lol.
