Found one today I haven’t sorted out yet, almost missed it, has one little broken spot but I don’t get the sense it was stemmed, also don’t think it was a section of drill because the break is so minimal… seems to be a tiny leaflike biface didn’t find a great match in overstreet. Not sure what it’s function was yet.

Checked another book, it mentions the same one that was the closest match in overstreet
Going with nodena, it fits with the rest of the site it’s found a lot with triangles and I’ve got a bunch of those from the same place
Only hang up I had with it in overstreet was mine is half the size or less from the examples.

I’m curious how a piece like this functioned, was it hafted to a shaft? Was it set in a handle and used more like a punch? Was it a set maybe in a series like a micro blade?

I found a short and tiny one similar to yours and the rounded tip leaves me thinking it might be something other than a projectile and possibly a drill. Others have disagreed with what I was thinking, but I'm seeing wear at the tip on what I have as though it was mounted on a shaft and had been spun and boring into something like maybe wood or bone. The stout fat profile, unlike most thinner projectile points, is also something that leads me to this idea it was a stone drill bit.
