Read the ID & agree, but the miners tags we find had a different use that you might want to consider. Before entering the mine they would take their tag off the large board & when leaving the mine, hang it up again. It meant that the owners or emergency team would know exactly who was down the mine or who was missing. Like a modern punch card - clocking in & out - but more for safety than timings.
