Found my best coin yesterday in 3years of (serious) detecting. 3 hour hunt after work. At about 2.5 hours I hadn’t even found a wheatie. When I dug a spill with the mercy and Washington I was thrilled. Little did I know I was to unplug my third and best seated. She was 3-4 inches deep and a shock to my system. I was so messed up I had to leave ( it was about dark). Me and the fellas are about to go see if theirs any more to find there today.

Nice coins and a great day of hunting!

Amazing find! Congratulations! I'm jealous as been in a silver slump and still looking for my first bucket list Seated coin.

I got TWO Seated Dimes ('40 & '77).... just need a Seated Nickel :BangHead: to make me a Seated Quarter:laughing9:

I like the detail that’s on the seated. Great coin to find I’m sure. Those babies would make my day for sure. Congrats

Awesome hunt!!

That’s cool. I just need a seated 15 cent piece and I’ll have a seated dollar. I’ve got one dime41, a quarter57 and this half.

Love it! Beautiful coin!

Wow, that is a killer find! Yes, this qualifies as a denomination trifecta. Way to go on an awesome outing!

Nice One. Dont see many seated from the 1860s and for it to be a half is even sweeter. Though too bad it wasn't an 1867 dime. Ive yet to find any seated from the 1860s and Ive found 49 seated total

49 seated!!! Daaaang! At my current rate of finding seated it will take me over35 years to find that many! Once these kids move out it may help but in any case you are killing it toasted.
I didn’t realize the 60s were that rare. Makes it that much sweeter for sure. Thank you for the info.

Actually, some circumstances at the property kept us from detecting anywhere near where I found that half. It might be that way for a while too. When I found the half yesterday I was barely out of the truck. I was gonna save the spot for todays outing. Now we gotta wait indefinitely. Out of 3 acres we were able to detect only a small fraction. My buddy Bladerunner still found a 1850s bucket lister! I think he is gonna post it along with his other finds for the day. This location is crazy. The house is around 80 years old. We think it mighta been a trading post during the 1800s.

Well done, great hunt....

Awesome. Those early halves are hard to get. Which machine nailed them?

Fantastic finds! Nice going!

Just goes to show you just never know what's gonna pop out next- we don't see too many Seated halves posted- Congrats on an amazing find!
