Recent finds with Ironhorse. If there's one thing we're blessed with when it comes to digging it's the diversity of the finds and the realistic potential of a very wide variety of things that actually could turn up... and these three is a pretty good example of that. I did dig many other targets but just the usual stuff... rotted coppers, plain buttons, bells, musket balls, harness buckles etc..

The 1835 Mexican 1/4 Real is a new one for me. Always cool to find a coin you've never dug before!

The button is Argyllshire Volunteers. A Scottish Infantry unit and it dates 1803-1808.

The Seated Quarter was quite a surprise. Only my 2nd, and the last was about 15 years ago. Quite nice condition for a farm field find and my pics don't even capture it compared to in person.

I'm already charging my detector for next weeks hunts. Guaranteed two, maybe three, and then the cold moves in and that will most likely be it until Spring. It has been a lot more of a grind this Fall than the last two or three but we never stop brainstorming ideas and it's finally paying off with a few decent finds. I'll definitely be dedicating some of this weekend to research to try and make the last hunts worthwhile. I need another good find! I always need another good find! :tongue3: Time will tell.

You know I'll be gunning for that something new and something good next hunt as well.
We still have a couple of good looking fields and old trustworthy sites to get us to the end of this season.
The finds are still there but we don't want them to wait lol

All excellent finds congrats. The irony of finding great stuff is that it makes you want to find even more and as soon as possible!!! haha. Super nice seated quarter and the 1/4 real is pretty awesome too!

Awesome recoveries! I’ve only found one Seated Quarter and it is definitely a thrill to see those pop out of the dirt. Congrats
