Even if there is a lot of iron of a given size one can adjust the null point for the background iron. Most will give up at this if the iron is bad enough.

We can program that type of "intuition" call it "Intuition Mode" into detectors. If you can think it, I can program it! "It should be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer" quoting "Hulk Hogan. :)

Am I trespassing?

I will be detecting in pristine wilderness in wild Alaska. As mentioned before you can't get there from here. I have only seen a few places in this world where I pause for a moment and ask my inner self, "Self, are we supposed to be here? I'm in a still, quiet, untouched place where spotted frogs, butterflies and mushrooms thrive and no man or woman has ever stood. It's another world. I feel a sense of trespassing.

I am permitted by the State of Alaska. I have an APMA. I hung paper four years ago. Alaska DNR said, I don't need a permit because I am a "casual use" miner. It's hard to conceive that this quiet place was once the scene of a horrific hydrothermal/epithermal explosion that blasted gold nuggets five miles away. Other theories abound on how the Alaska Centennial Nugget ended up where it ended up. Was it a glacial erratic? Was it discovered by an early prospector, hand carried and the prospector met with an unknown demise?

The GPZ 8000 came along at the most opportune time! I have other detectors i.e. a Garrett GTI 2500 with the Treasure Hound coil. I need deep and it's only gold. I plan to auger shallow holes less than a few feet, recover the hidden contents and re-fill the holes with the original contents.

A note on the discovery. This deposit was discovered as a result of twelve years of personal interpretation of FDEM survey data collected by the State of Alaska using OPM. It is the most conductive deposit combined with the appropriate phase angle in the district and in the top ten I have found in all of the surveyed districts in Alaska.

One can conclude that the dog responds to both Dutch waves and natures waves.
The challenging of assumptions and exploring unconventional solutions comes to mind here as a possible "Box" that many may face.

How about waves that are created by repeating long sequences of ones and zeros?
These can get created from ordinary but extremely carefully chosen digitally switched pulses.
Could this be outside of the "Box"?

The shape and size of the waves is what the detectors with processors can check on many times a second. Some animals like birds for example can sense magnetism and perhaps electrical waves?
My response is there could be a lot more if the eyes / brain can pick up on it in nature???????
 
The processor should have little trouble counting at least the one's and zero's however the shape and length of the of the pattern is likely in a program that man will plug in is the general point of view.

A FDEM survey done by the State of Alaska is separate from the "Discovery work" recorded within a timely manner of a mineral entry "Claim". The State survey will be useful to refer to as for a 'Reasonable man' indicator of minerals within the survey limits.

The detectors will help in searching for a mineral / metal deposit rich enough for the detector to respond to and save a lot of time and hopefully digging.

That was the TX pattern for the Minelab Equinox.
 
The State of Alaska has been proactive in their investment in Geophysical surveys using DIGHEM, an airborne survey system that measures 400 feet into the earth (more or less). The data is available to prospectors and Exploration Companies. I have been actively interpreting survey data. More later! :)

That was the TX pattern for the Minelab Equinox.
Research development has found that this pattern is useful for a given type of ground environment.
Most people will not be able to determine what is useful or not in there given area. So, some preprograming / presets are good to start with. Thanks for sharing.

From the patent literature, the GPZ 8000 learns the composition of the soil on a sweep by sweep basis.

The "learning" is short term recognition of magnetic mineralization. There is no machine learning or AI in the conventional sense. It's possible to "stack" magnetic responses and average the degree of mineralization to effectively "balance out" the degree of mineralization. It's the first for me to read the method behind ground balance in PI detectors in real terms. The magnetic soil increases the inductance of the coil, increasing inductive reactance. Inductive reactance is impedance which decreases transmitter coil current and decreases depth of penetration. The 8000 measures the coil current! The 8000 has NEW functionality. It excludes magnetic minerals and metals by feedback control of coil current.

What effect does pumping the coil have? :dontknow:

There's no long-term memory. The detector is adaptive. It adapts to soil conditions with every swing. This remains to be a separate test to be performed. The depth test shown above with PVC pipes in the bank at different depth should be performed with iron in proximity of the Gold inserted in the Pipes. Then Iron only! The GPZ 8000 is designed to recognize IRON, a magnetic metal and exclude the Iron. Show me! Can the predecessors do that?

Minelab filings under Grantee Code Z4C (specifically the most recent certifications like Z4C-0061 and the upcoming 2026 variants) reveal a few key shifts in their hardware:

• Dual-Band Wireless: Unlike the older Wi-Stream, the new filings show a shift toward a proprietary low-latency 2.4GHz/Bluetooth hybrid module. This suggests the 8000 will finally ditch the WM12 module in favor of a direct-to-headset connection with zero lag—likely compatible with the ML105 or a newer "ML200" headset.

The MOST unreliable sense humans have is "hearing". Money, money, money is directed to echo-sonic features echo echo echo, and most of the public has never had a hearing test! What the _____ people?

The retro - back to the future solution goes way back to 1960's stereos with TWO, count-em, TWO VU (Volume Units) meters! They are fast and accurate displays of two audio levels simultaneously. What a concept! :)

BTW, Analog meters have greater resolution than Digital!

Remember them OLD stereos with Dual audio spectrum bar graphs?
