Does the movement offer any information? Not a lot to go on here other then that is an awesome antique looking original untouched, unsigned dial. My guess it's from the 1860's to the 1870's era.?

Unfortunately, values on large clocks like this are way down. Seems we're in a period when most folks don't care about the nostalgia of a finely crafted clock. ...Heck, they don't even care about finely crafted anything! :protest:

Got some elderly friends down south that retired for the 2nd time some years ago. They've collected over a dozen stunning clocks; mostly Grandfather type. They have ended up giving some away as special gifts, rather than selling them at such a disgraceful price. ...I guess a lot also depends on the area.

I don't like to comment off the hip and I don't know much about old clocks but I believe that face is early 1800's versus late 1800's.

Probably brass works yes? Try to take clear pics of the movement and post. Then I may be able to help. Regards. Bob

Usually cropping the pics after rotating them will work on vBulletin platforms. Give it a shot. I'm just over here drooling at that clock!!

It appears (based on the castle on the face) to be English. A decent running English tall clock was bringing between $1,000.00 and $2,500.00 give or take. Not sure what they're worth now.
