Had a great day in the field yesterday. Found lots of keepers. For coins the mystery copper was ID’d as a 1792 half penny from Dublin. Also got 5 Indians 1861 fatty 1864 and 1867 both toast and two nice ones dated 1879 and 1883. Got one of my nicest ever tombac buttons, CW infantry cuff button, some buckled and a cool bell. One of the neatest finds was the barrel of a black powder pistol!!

Congrats on some nice recoveries  Those little boot pistols were pretty popular in the mid 1800s.

Nicely done. You must be super pleased with that assortment of oldies.

The fields around here just have cows, cow patties, and little pieces of barb wire. Great hits.

That is one hell of a haul of goodies. Good job on ID'ing that half penny. Looks like that required some detective work!

Outstanding relic and coin hunt! :occasion14:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice haul!!

Great looking dig's :icon_thumleft:

Got a little of everything on that hunt! Congrats!

Nice variety of finds! All the rain in Ohio has made it good for the relic hunters but not so good for the farmers!

Awesome hunt, that's some really nice buttons, buckles &, nice half penny & IH's, cool pistol barrel, congrats on all

Love that Boot pistol. My dad found one a few years ago. They are sweet relics to find.

Awesome finds, I just found a similar barrel, look up “muff guns” theres a nice makers mark page for these, probably a ELG makers mark( belgium made) and sometimes they have a letter with a crown over for different reasons
