My buddy Ridley found a great spot to MD. He's already uncovered numerous silver coins here, and I was lucky enough to find one he missed. ;D
Found a great assortment today, and a few items that I could use some help IDing.
Here we go:
*A 1936 Merc dime - WILVER!!!

*Other coins were: 1941 Nickel , and 1951,53,57,& 58 Wheats.

*A very cool "Order Of Owls" pendant (?) that still has most of the gold gilt and paint on it. The back says "Design Pat. Aug. 10, 1907".
No idea what it is, but I think it's one of my coolest finds.

*A pin or badge (?) with letters "U" , "S", and "H" (?) on the front.
There was a small thumb attachment nut on the back too (pictured) before I snapped it off. :'( It measures 25cm.
Any idea what this is?

*A button (16cm) with what looks like a "B" plus more design on the front.
Any idea on this one?

*Asst'd marbles. Not sure how old they are? ???
"DuffyTrash", are you out there? ;D

All in all a great day of MDing for me.
Thanks for looking,
MM

Excellent finds, congrats!

Re: Great Day- SILVER , Owl, and other goodies!!!

Nice job MM. ;D It was nice of Dave to leave you a Merc. :)

Those marbles are fun to dig up, aren't they? I love digging a hole and finding a marble. Maybe you will have to do some excavating to find more. ;D

Other stuff is cool too. Private homes are great for all that kind of stuff.

Thanks Nana. Yeah, I got pretty lucky to have Ridley as a partner. He's a die-hard MDer and knows his stuff.
He has two great kids too that love when I bring them Hot Wheels. ;D

Re: Great Day- SILVER , Owl, and other goodies!!!

Thanks to PBK, I was able to get an ID on the USNA piece pictured in this post. Drumroll please.....
The correct answer was UNITED STATES NATIONAL ARMY. A WW1 collar disk - circa 1917 to 1920.

The USNA monogram item is a World War I U. S. National Army enlisted man's collar disk.
National Army: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Army_(USA)

I also received this reply from another web site:
That is a WW1 era collar disk. The USNA & a Branch of Service (infantry, cavalry, artillery, etc) disc were worn on the soldier's collar.
The USNA stands for United States National Army. The USNA were the divisions made up of draftees. The low number infantry divisions were Regular Army (full time). These are divisions like the 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The middle numbers like 28, 29, 30, 42nd were National Guard divisions. The high number divisions, like the 80th were National Army (draftees).

The mystery is solved and I'm one happy camper. ;D I also posted a better picture of one of these.
Thanks everyone,
MM

Thanks TG.
We need rain here BAD. Once we get some we should be able to turn up quite a few more finds at this place.

Civil,
You were very close. Good guess. I couldn't tell if it was an "N" or an "H" up front.
Now if I can just get that "B" button ID'd. ;D
Have a great week.
