Great Day With My New Whites Classic 5!!

FoxHound0985 · Jun 10, 2007

Hello everyone, my Bounty Hunter Land Star has been getting on my last nerve. It was giving me false signals and it wouldnt detect things that were right on top of the ground! So, I finally broke down and bought a new machine, a Whites Classic 5 ID. I went out to an old abandoned homesite built in 1826 and I found a ton of stuff that my other detector left behind. All in all I found 15 pennies, 1 dime, 1 quarter, a lock plate from a toy gun marked "Civil War Musket, Kadet", a small button, a fork, and a 1920 wheat! I will be going out to another colonial site tomorrow to see what else my other detector left behind. All in all I am VERY pleased with my new machine!

I have been there with low end machines, when it comes to detecting you really get what you pay for! Congrats on the digs!!

Hey foxhound, I'm using the classic 5 also. What size coil does yours have? Mine has the 9.5 but I'm thinking about getting the 15 inch coil. You can look through my posts to see the neat stuff Iv'e found with mine! ~littleton

I looked through your posts and you have found some pretty neat stuff with your Classic 5. Mine came with the standard 9.5 inch coil. I also bought mine from Kellyco along with all the free stuff that I'm probably never going to use. I was supposed to get one Bullseye Pinpointer II, but they sent me two of them!
