So, I got this hit, see? So, I knelt down, dug, and pulled
from what was a pretty good entanglement of roots, this
dog tag looking thing:

It had this root hanging from it that looked like
a pin! I kid you not! LOL

When I read the other side, I rather quickly retreated! :tongue3:

Anyhoo, such a nice sunny day out but short on time.
I was figuring on just cladulating but with this strange find,
I should've known HE had something a bit more special in mind. :)

After a couple more pennies I got this next thing:

All I saw was.......gold... LOL

Still a neat find and more evidence of a strange hunt. :)

Lastly, and I really mean "lastly"! As I was officially
"OTWBTMC" :)

I got this hit I simply called as a quarter. I mean, it was a
PERFECT clad quarter hit. Just like sooooo many others
I've turned there. Although , this one, would prove to be
a lil different:

Just gotta love it when that happens!!! :)

All in all, a short but very productive walk!

Even this piece! It is SOLID brass and weighs
in at a full half pound! LOL

There is a mark on the ring but I can't
quite make it out. What do you see?

To those who know styles of rings, could this be antique?
Regardless, it is a VERY pretty ring!

Thanks for taking a moment to peek !

Holy crap that ring looks grrreat! I really hope it the real deal!

Beautiful ring no matter how old. Very cool save sir!!!!:icon_thumleft:

Super cool finds, Whadi, congratulations! I see the mark on your beautiful ring as "925" with the "5" so lightly struck that it is barely visible. It is a looker! Sub 8-)

We're DEFINITELY living in the wrong area!! WOW!!

That brass thing looks like something off of a battery set (something that uses multiple batteries).

That's a heck of a ring! Wow! Good job by you!

It is a beautiful ring. I also like the "Weeblos" tie ring. I haven't seen one of those in many years.

That was my initial take on this thing too. But, better eyes have told me that it's actually 82. Possibly a mistruck stamp. Probably European. Also, it passed the 10kt acid test with flying colors! :) We figure the center stone is Citrine. Very happy!

Thanks!

I have no clue as to the style, but that ring is a real eye-catcher! If I brought that home, my wife would begin asking me "Aren't you going to go metal detecting today?"

Hi WhadIFind; Great ring. Best thing to do is to take it to a Pro Jeweler and have it ID'd and Appraised. The stones are to nicely set to be fake. Great Find. Repost the results when you get them ok. PEACE:RONB

Great looking ring! Congrats on it. Hope a professional gives you good news for it:thumbsup:

interesting ring. Mark is 925
odd if it's 10K.

Cool Grenade Tag too

Ole Sub. was the one who saw 925. In person, (with someone's younger eyes), it's actually an 82 and possibly a bad stamping. Maybe, 825? I've been told this appears to be European. :dontknow:

I have all the info I need on it, I'm satisfied with what we've discerned. I don't rate my finds by dollar signs. ;)

Thanks!

Hi WhadI Find; Remember that it was very common practice to place good stones in silver settings back then. remember it was the Great Depression. Folks saved money any way they could. PEACE:RONB

My first thought was 82 However I edited my post
after seeing the 925 Remark & looking again :laughing7:

I guess I should have went with my first look
