Guess my favorite!

Pick one....go ahead.....pick which one is my favorite!

The weather here was just perfect today! Went out to the woods and stayed for hours. Was so nice and peaceful! After all the cleaning and cooking and entertaining this week I thought I deserved a little me time.

Not many finds but I had a great time!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Getting out to the Woods is a Beautiful thing, On the other hand the Little Mini Ball makes me wonder that you might be close to something bigger....Keep on digging!!!! John

I don't know much about CW stuff but I guess I'd say the white one. $:-\$

I like the white musket ball.
Nice old patina.

OK Nana, now I like musketballs, so that would be my pick, but, then again, that CW bullet looks pretty good also. How about two favorites. Congrats...Lance

Nice musketball nana! looks like a pistol shot

thats an old one for sure

Nate in Ohio · Nov 27, 2005

I was thinking maybe the bullet to the left of the white one. The white ball's cool too. Interesting! HH

Most of you were right!

If all I have to choose for a favorite from this hunt is bullets and shells....then the little white one was my favorite! It was my very first dig of the day and so I decided that I wouldn't stop until I found something else that was as exciting to find! So that puts my last find as my second favorite and it was the bullet to the left of the white one!

And I know..I know....I need to find a different spot to hunt!

But....I don't have to constantly look over my shoulder back there!

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better HH!!

And yes.....if those shells were worth a dollar......just think of the possibilities!

I didn't get to hunt the woods today...but I did manage 10 minutes of hunting in the side yard and I found another one of those little whites! I took a pic of the mountain which is next to the hill where I was hunting today.....and yes...most of the leaves are now gone... :'(

Thanks for all the replies yall!

You might be on to something ,since you found another musket ball at the same place.
If you have some bigger signals. You might want to check some of them too. No telling what you might uncover at that site. Good Luck HH

Very nice Nana,,, WTG!!!
Glad to see your still getting out... The scenery sure looks nice...
Looks like the shotgun shells take the place of bottle caps out there in the country...
Good luck & Happy hunting~

Congrats always love digging lead and lead especially if it's CW era, nice finds.

hollowpointred · Nov 28, 2005

those balls could be colonial! one thing is for sure, someone a very long time ago was on or around your property. there very well could be something awesome around there!
