Gulf gives up gold crucifix

[herb n surf]

Went to a local beach and found the usual clad , a cell phone that someone lost in the water. With the hunt winding down I got a medium tone on the CZ 21 and scooped out this nice gold crucifix in about waist deep water. The crucifix was completly black with crud but the edges gave a hint of what was underneath . A good soaking in hot water with tsp , lemon juice , and dish soap cleaned it right up. Thanks for looking.

Nice find. I would think the design would bring more than the melt value if you were to sell it.

Great find Herb...nice to see something besides a gold ring posted...nothing wrong with a ring, just nice to see something different...congrats.
