gun found in school yard yesterday

went to a school yard yeasterday and there in the process of redoing the feild and i went to see what i would find and after some clad i went to a diffreent area and out from about 3 inchs came this little 22 cal gun made in italy and model number 1900 made by mondail nice little peice with no numbers

triger is working and the chamber is clear but what the heck is this doing in a school yard in a richy part of town. but then i think at some of the events of the pst few years and whonder whats up with socioty where kids carry gun to school

Sheesh! Did you contact the police? Might have been a store robbery weapon? Or maybe Mommy's protection went to school with the kids......

Starter pistol. Fires blanks. Probably school property being found in the field. :icon_thumright:

I was going to suggest the starter pistol also. Especially if found near a track. I hunt near one track and there are shells from the blanks everywhere.

it should have a pull out blade on handle to push fired blanks from the elongnated cylinder. this is like the one i used to have.

Very cool find. I keep hoping that every trip out will be the trip where I find my first firearm. But all I ever find are spent shell casings. Even if it is a starter pistol it is still a great find. My heart would have been thumping if I'd have found that. Congrats!
