I wouldn't call it junk. But yes most of it was from prior estate/yard sales. My problem is I buy too many things. I have a tendency to buy in bulk, then I sell one or two pieces out of it, make a profit off the monies spent, then the rest ends up in a box, in storage. Many of the items I sold, I could have sold online but I would have to be a full time ebayer to do it and that's not me. This is a part time hobby for fun and profit. The best hobby anyone can have is one that can make you money, while you have fun doing it. If I would have started doing this when I was your age, who knows, it may have ended up as a full time career for me.
This was a great result and it looks very nice and warm in the photo. Much better than the quarter inch of slush I had to scrape off the car this morning.
The Hobby that makes money is definitely the best type of hobby. Still haven't pulled that off in metal detecting. Everytime I'm within striking distance of paying for the last machine a new one comes out that just seems too nice not to have. Forget about fishing. I estimate that the last round of seabass filets I hauled in cost us approximately $66 Lb when you add in fuel, beer, sunblock, bait, tackle etc.
