Hello All,
Haven't posted much, been taking advantage of the days before the new year digging. But we made some great finds. Knew that the weather would be turning bad in 2017, and needed some time to clean the finds and close out 2016 with a "Year in Review" post (coming soon).
Well I won't belabor the point, but we had a great end to 2016. Diggergirl got in on the action, and pulled two very nice silvers out. Shanegalang bagged some silver pieces, including a flattened silver coin which appears to have once been an 1850s "with arrows" half dime (thanks to those in "What is it?" that assisted!). He also got a 1916 Netherlands 10 cent coin, which was a real trip to dig! We were lucky enough to dig--ten feet apart--two matching suspender clips (manufactured by Guyot in France at the turn of the century)--and then lo and behold I dug the remaining two pieces, for a complete, MATCHING set of suspenders! I gave my pieces to Shanegalang so that he could keep the entire set intact in a display case.

Shanegalang also dug his oldest silver coin to date--a 1774 Half Real. Here's the video of the last two hunts of 2016 for us. Bring on 2017! I can't wait to see what surprises the Digging Gods have in store for us.
Cheers,
Buckleboy, DiggerGirl, and Shanegalang
