Has anyone else here flown on B-52s? When I was in the Air Force I volunteered to fly on the 52s on a couple of combat missions in SE Asia and practice nuke bomb training due to my job I was allowed to do so.,
The nuke bomb training was a great thrill as the plane would fly about 50 feet off the ocean at 500 mph and when reaching the pre-programmed release point it would go into a giant 180-degree vertical loop to head back in the direction we came from as they simulated releasing the nuke, it was a radar release, basically, it was like riding in the worlds fastest roller coaster. We were flying just above the ocean to simulate flying under the radar into the USSR.
