After seeing all the GREAT CW relics posted this morning, I got the itch to go back to my CW mountain site. I haven't been up there since my back surgery, so I knew I would be exhausted by the time I got to the top. Yep. I was right! :D :P Dang, I was tired! :D

Last time I was there, I found nothing but iron signals and again today was nothing but iron signals. I got a beep, sat down and dug the hole and got a nice square nail. While I was sitting there I looked up to see this hovering over my head....

Guess he was double checking to make sure I got up! :D

Dug a few relics and decided to hit the shade at the bottom by the house. Don't have a clue what I dug, except for the nails and a link to a chain and a bullet, but just being there and the nice view was worth the climb. :)

Only found a 1920 wheat down at the house and something with a hole in the middle that looks like some kind of a penny. Got it in oil to see if I can get some of the crud off.

Yesterday I went up to Cullman to see if the regulars had cleaned the place out, and they had. :D Only a few pieces of change. DiggerBug calls while I there and says she's got cabin fever and wants to go relic hunting. So I meet her for a couple of hours of hunting and find a miners tag and a dog tag. Now this dog was a long way from home! :D According to the phone numbers on the back, he was from New York, but he had family in Georgia. :D Got the little flattened penny at the park. Thought it was neat.

For the last couple weeks I have been complaining that I had a black cloud over my head. After seeing what you have over yours, I wont complain about my cloud anymore :D Congrats on getting out and finding some relics.

:D Thanks ya'll! :D

My back is fine. I'm just wayyyy outta shape! :P :D I don't think I have had any all day hunts this summer, like I did before the surgery and I can tell it! :-X

MM...the dog tag reads 'Dusty Zivkovic' on the front and the back has two phone numbers..one for his house and the other for family. :D

Stoney...that's a buzzard. :P :D

Tev...no..it's flat. Kinda looks like a nail with a flattened top. ???

Nan..yep..zipper pull..especially for ME. ;D

No, Jim..no buttons today. Really would have been a huge suprise if I had. I have hunted this place to from one end to the other..here are some of the finds that came from there...

I think it was maybe an overnight camp at best. I was very happy to have stumbled across it though.

Pleh...there's a spring at the bottom of the mountain. It's kinda strange. It starts here...

And about 50 feet down are some rocks piled into a circle in the middle of the water...

I took these pics last November. It's so snakey around here right now, that I won't be going into that jungle till winter time. I didn't find much there when I did hunt what I could get to.

Thanks ya'll! Have a great weekend! Find somethin' good! ;)

Nana :)

The weather in Bama is getting much nicer for detecting. Went TH'ing today at the fort and found a bunch of wheat pennies and a '57 rosie. Are you and Lisa still interested in getting together to hunt the fort sometime? Let me know.
