head of eagle, gypher,dragon,bird or what

hi everyone,found this pewter eagle head yesterday.the relic is about 2 inches long and 2 piece and joined with a seem.i have no idea on its age or place origin.any ideas please !!!!!!

I'd say a cane handle. Yours looks more like a griffin. This is a different style (horse) but an idea.
