Headed south today

Decided to go to one of the beaches south of my usual hunting areas this evening for the low tide. Not many targets but I did get lucky with this nice 9 gram 14K band. I think the new Excalibur II has now paid for itself. ~John

It was deep and took quite awhile to dig it up. The whole time I was trying to recover it I kept thinking it was a quarter from the high tone. That's why you don't want to walk away from a difficult target.

Just the thought of it makes me want to cry. That's why I keep at it until it's in the scoop. 90% of the time it turns out to be a ring, the ring that is at the top of a can :icon_thumleft:

. But, I have kept digging on a few to find small silver toe rings or even coins, black from being there so long. I just know deep down inside that the signal that I don't bother to recover will turn out to be a ring and probably the best one ever
