30 degrees and no rain .... sounds like kayak weather to me I went out and hit a spot that gave up a few nice ones last year.
First find was this nice little quartz point it has a needle tip on it , it surprises me to find as many quartz points as I do here because there’s so many other materials available that are much easier to use but maybe they were not as abundant at time the point was made

I think you called it at first .. the ones for the nose usually had a well polished shaft …. yours looks like a lot of nosebleeds to me lol . On another note I would place the other one in the archaic adena / Hopewell range = 550 BCE to around 500 AD . The style and knapping look's like it would belong in the mound building culture. Just a guess of course but that's what my gut instinct says.

I think so , I believe mine is a drill but I also never considered labrets as even an option I would think they (labrets) would be ground smooth and the piece I found is not

No problem, I do not insist on my opinion.
I only show items - facts.
Labrets different - just like people. Each individual expressed in his own way.

I appreciate your input and it was eye opening for sure I had never even considered labrets so moving forward I will keep that in mind and it’s another item for me to add to my bucket list .... those polished ones you showed are beautiful.

Thanks , looks like you have been having a good start to the year too , iv seen a few of your videos that river bank looks like a great place

Its been very good to me. Several spots in my area have been promising. I should have some more good stuff to show in the coming weeks. Looking forward to seeing what you find next!
