They were just fed up with the forum and wanted to go out w a bang.

Like a lot of us did, I watched the departure unfold.

I'm not surprised that CNC bowed out after all of the (arguably self-induced) backlash from his unfounded criticism of the quality/worth of this site. Genuine finds or not, the quality/quantity of what a member finds in coin rolls does not establish the quality/worth of that member. Whatever point Nick was looking to make, he took way too much of a superior tone in making it.

I am surprised that DB23 followed him out though. Maybe there's a behind the scenes suicide pact of some sort.

I never doubted the results that either of them were reporting and see it as bad form for our members to have questioned them on it. But if this is how they react to that little bit of adversity, we really aren't any worse off without them.

Apparently Nicholas did not like my posts- he sent me some very nasty PM's somewhat threatening to me about psoting on his posts. Why, I have no clue.

Something to do with some emoticons? I completely lost all respect for him after that.
I think he is a complete --Deleted--,(fake)* he has me on ignore, so I can express my feelings. I do not believve his finds, and have not believed them since mid 2011 when he had a shady post.

As to db23, he was a decant guy from what I could tell, he has helped me in the past picking the correct canvas bags and whatnot.
I believe his finds.

Anyway, we don't need them on this forum, the forum will live on.

It's weird. I remember about a month or so ago, Cards posted about one day of 10 or so boxes where he only came away with a few keepers. Someone (I forget who) made a comment about "the lake going dry." Seemed like as soon as that comment was made, Cards attitude completely changed. He became much more hostile and argumentative with a lot of people on this site. Personally I don't get why there is any hostility at all on this site. This is an amazingly fun hobby, and everyone should be allowed to enjoy it in their own way. Cards and DB, I liked reading your posts, and if you all ever wanted to come back and contribute like you used to I would welcome that. If you all would rather lurk, no harm in that either. Best of luck to you both and Happy Hunting.

Stuff happens. As a moderator of /r/silverbugs, I wouldn't take that tone from anyone without slapping the banhammer on them. I think they showed tremendous restraint by not banning CNC, even when he asked for it. Let's face it, for a free to join forum, it's in poor taste to criticize admin for downtime.

I enjoyed both of their posts & have learned a ton from them each. I hope they come back. Cards especially has motivated me to open new accounts & pick up my volume. Time heals all wounds & hopefully they can put this behind them.

And then the last one he said, some thing about smashing my F-ing face....
I laughed alot at him, and told him 44 was a little bit old to try to talk trash over the internet...and to go on about his day..
And that was the last I have heard from him.
P.S. My face, is still intact....ugly as ever, but still not smashed?

The mods can read your PMs. They usually won't because who cares or has the time UNLESS there is a problem. If he threatened you in any way I would def. report that. Keep in mind though that if you threatened him back that you may be subject to punishment(bannage) as well. There really is no point in anyone on this forum to talk like that to anyone else.

Believe it or not, I was on this forum before he was, and I have been doing that long before he joined, and never had an issue until he had to come into the story.

Honestly, I don't think this bothers many people on here, it's just a creative thing of mine. If this bothers anybody, please let me know in a human-like manner, unlike cards(NICK), who threatened me.

Wow, that is really sad. All the anger and threats over coin roll hunting. Some people just don't get it I guess. Kudos to you Conley for being the bigger person and not stopping to the low levels of others.

Awesome thread everyone, great finds being demonstrated here. Does anyone else find it a bit frustrating that a thread like this will garner so much more attention, and responses than the few threads actually left about "results" or "finds" "strategies/techniques" etc.....

Well, let me give my 2 cents worth. I've been here longer than the majority of you and topics discussing whether a poster's finds are real or not have never been tolerated. I've also noticed a few forum members stating how we don't need certain members and the forum will go on. I believe this is a very dangerous mindset. Kind of the idea of certain folks acting as if this was their forum ALONE. This is everyone's forum. If you don't like the post or member, just put them on ignore. Apparently there are some on here that like to have some form of madness going on constantly. As I have said before, I am here to help with any odd ball questions if I know the answer. Other than that, I don't have to post my finds because I don't need to have my finds accepted by others to feel validated. I will still have my running totals in the signature.
