Hi everyone!

So, I was searching around for a good forum to ask some questions on an interesting piece that I recently found while on vacation in Nova Scotia Canada (will post about it with photos later) - and it seems that I've found the right place! The forum seems super active, and is full of very friendly, and knowledgeable members :)

My treasure hunting history of any sort is very limited. Other than when I was a child, any neat looking rock would end up in my pocket, then usually into my parents washing machine or dryer! Lol. I had annoyed my parent's on several occasions from doing that. Though over the recent years, I have thought of buying a good metal detector here and there, but my other hobby listed below is expensive enough lol.

My current form of treasure hunting, is photgraphy. Primarily in the form of landscape and macro photography. It's always been a passion of mine, nothing professional.

I will keep it short for now, and look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible. Your posts are very interesting to read!

Regards,

Jason

Welcome buddy. Go to your nearest library and take out books about your local and regional history. Get history books about the towns and cities around you. Look for the old one room school houses, old race tracks, sports fields, fair grounds etc. Basically find out were people gathered in the past. Get permission to be on the property if it is private, then post up your relics, jewelry and coins. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum! I hope you find great things to photograph.

Wel-come ...

Hi Jeg75, welcome to Tnet and the forum. I will be over there (Canada) in a couple of weeks, staying in the Guelph area. Looking forward to seeing the snow again. We don't get much here on the Gold Coast.
