I'm from Indiana, but I'm in W.V. now while my wife takes care of her mother, so probably forever. I inherited a White's Spectrum XLT when my Dad passed a couple of years ago. He hardly ever used it, it's like new, and I've messed around with it several times over the years, only found coins and such. But I've decided I'm finally going to get serious about it this year. I've lurked here in the past, looks like a great site, I plan to visit regularly and learn all I can. And drool over the great finds!

Welcome. I am also from WV. In the Preston County area.

Hey all, I grew up in Wanamaker, just SE of Indy a ways, born in Beech Grove. Now I'm in Boone County WV, not far from Madison.

Welcome Aboard Bob! Take a look at Sub-Forums: West Virginia for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Thank you sir, I shall do so.

Thanks all! I feel quite welcomed.

Welcome Bob. Your in a decent area for some old coins, coal scripts, lumber tokens and decent relic hunting too, I would think. Good luck, happy hunting and looking forward to your posts.

Thanks, yeah there should be some good spots, old deserted coal mine towns and such. Took the wife out several months ago just messing around on a dirt road and found a handful of change. The Hatfield and McCoy stomping grounds are just right down the road, but I think they would frown on hunting there.

I didn't see your post earlier, I see you have a White's XLT too. So, where's all your secret sites? :)

And thanks Sandman, nice graphic. I like my guns too.
