Hello, My name is Adam and I'm an A.G.holic
I have been lurking for a couple months now and figured I'd start contributing. I live in SW Missouri. I've been a metal detectorist for a couple years now. Finding free silver in the ground is very addicting. Finding face value silver in circulation is just as addicting. Over the past few months I've been picking up all the loose halves that I can, not that much, maybe $70 worth, pulled 4 - 40%'rs. I've recently started getting nickels and dimes to search. I've scored 10 war nickels, 8 rosies, and 2 washingtons so far. A lot of them have come from counting money at work. Work finds just weren't cutting it for me so I began buying small amounts of rolls and getting pretty lucky. The more volume that I do now, I realize that it isn't that easy. I picked up my first large amount yesterday, cleaned out my CU's vault, only 185 in dimes and 40 in nickels, scoring one '64 rosie, some foreign change, and a few old nicks. While there I inquired about getting boxes. They said no prob, told them I was "filling up a treasure chest for my son"
Partly true, he gets all of my clad halves and Ikes. Just got a call from the bank lady today, and my first box of dimes and nickels will be here next wed. I can't wait!!! Already have a good dump bank set up, just a couple blocks from my house, coin counter in the entry, tested it out yesterday with a few hundred in loose change, no probs. Every time I've been there so far I've encountered several people making very large dumps, so volume shouldn't be a problem there.
Sorry for such a long post, just thought I'd get an introduction out of the way. I've learned quite a bit from reading all of your posts so far, thank you for that! HH!!
Added some pictures...my CRH finds so far. A picture of my son playing dump bank with his "treasure". A dime I found yesterday that has a very blue tone, any ideas on this one? Might be kinda hard to see in the picture, but it is very blue front and back from the right angle.

Wow, I even started to think, wait a minute, is it Au or Ag...then forgot to check and make sure...I even received a chemistry minor with my degree....ooops! I'll go ahead and correct that now, save a little face, thanks.
