What's a noob? Cptbill has advertised for a treasure partner. He seems to be the only serious treasure hunter around here.

For about $200.00 you can get a decent Detector (Garrett Ace 250) from Kellyco (See Link above)

they also have detectors for less then $100.00.

cheap is really cheap. I live in australia and I only get $20 a fortnight :'(

Thrift shops and yard sales, my friend. There are tales abound of folks that have found their first MD for under $50 at places like that!

If you are looking for caches you can use a wire probe to stick in the ground. These are usually about 4 feet long and can tell you if there is a large object in the ground. It will take practice. PM me if you need any help. If you pm me,be patient.on Wensday I will leave on a TH project in Oregon.

Despite what someone says,I know of over 15 people on Tresurenet that are full time treasure hunters,including myself. That is just the ones I know about.
