Help ID a possible knife (Updated Pictures)

I was hoping some one could help ID the type of Knife (assumption that it is a knife). We are also trying to determine the approximate date. I can get more pictures if this one is not nice enough. It was located in Johnson Co. Missouri to help.

I will get them up later tonight. Sorry about the picture. Was sort of rushed by the fiance to get out of the house yesterday when I was posting. Man I am sure glad she did. I will post the find that I was rushed out of the house to locate.

Here are some new pictures. No additional lighting or use of flash. The top one is the one originally asked for, and was rushed to post because we went out to same creek and found the middle one. Then today while at work the fiance went back to same creek and found the bottom one. Man she is one lucky gal. all 3 were found within 200 yards of eachother. Top one the notch on the bottom was intentional. There is signs on one side of it being worked.

Looks simular to a small leaf blade or could be a preform. Its not always easy to ID blades unless its a specailty blade. For instant, if you was to find a lot of the same from a certain culture you can be fairly accurate that the blade is from that culture eg Hopewell. But regular blades were disposed of, so they just knocked them up ( pardon the pun) lots of them, & just basically tossed them away.
Looks archaic though. Nice lil blade/preform.
I'm sure the MO collectors will ID the points.. Nice finds.

By know means am I the expert but could it not fall into the cache category with a small chip missing out of the base?

That small chip seems to be intentional. I will continue to work with the macro picture of the camera to get really close up.

Nice finds!!! That piece looks like a knicked Agate Basin, made out of Burlington Chert. If it is intentional that would have to be one of the most constricted base forms and associated with possible Wheeler Excurvate...............................................GTP

Definately looks like burlington, with molly, its archaic (late), and I'd say the knick is intentional as a phase/type/location/personal technique (not familiar with your area) for hafting it as a knife. If you look at the "knick" and imagine it hafted in a handle, you could see why the maker might thingk that the "knick" would help in stablizing the blade within the haft. But I really have no idea what I'm talking about .
