Found this in a load of gravel that was delivered to out house. Anyone here good with dating and origins of these types of things? Also with it being damaged as badly as it is, is there any value to it? Measures roughly 7x4x2 inches at the widest points. Thank you.

looks to be a three quarter grooved axe that has been hit by a tractor a few good times

Yes, badly damaged grooved axe.
 

I would consider it a nice study piece. Study pieces arent worth much with the damage on it. Maybe 15-20 at the most.
