I dont know where else to put this thread... it was deleted last time. So I posted it in the games forum. Is there a rule against promotion? Because there is nothing spammy about me giving away my hard earned silver coin! Let me know your rules on running contest such as these. Thanks in advance. Feel free to delete it if it upsets anyone (not sure why) but shoot me an email explaining why.... dmb062082ATgmailDOTCOM

Contest 1 of many hopefully (Win Free Silver Coins)

Hello! I have been a coin roll hunter for a little while now and have had a lot of fun finding silver. I have amassed a nice stash over the past year or so. I have made videos teaching others tips on how to find it and would like to give more of it away. Literally. I run a facebook page geared towards disaster prepping among other things and I am having my second contest of many if this one goes well, giving away some of my free silver coins!

The contest is simple.. and ran officially through a third party application called rafflecopter to keep things legit and honest. All you have to do is enter for a chance of winning. You can gain extra entries for liking my facebook page but it is not necessary, so in essence this is far from spamy. I am simply self promoting paying in silver to do so.

For our second contest we are proud to announce that we are giving away free silver coins from our personal collection.

3 winners will be drawn at random to win 3 random pieces of silver coins (1 each) drawn from our personal collection of silver.

It consist of many denominations of silver currency however the majority consist of silver dollars and half dollars so your odds of scoring a nice piece are great.

At any rate what is not to love? Its free silver. Simply enter the contest here and follow the rules which consist of three steps and enter. Hey, you never know! Our last contest only had 40 entries so your odds of winning are still really good!

The contest ends February 15th and the winners will be drawn at random by random.org through rafflecopter.

Best of luck.

I removed your Links Because apparently someone feels You advertising another site
is Spam.

I didn't delete it myself,
But Did delete the Links to Prevent further action.

Hopefully who ever deleted it will explain why.

OK that's easy enough..... can I place it in my signature or is that also outlawed?

at this point you best wait for an answer.
My hunch someone in administration may have made the decision to remove your original post

If I cant place a link to my personal website in my signature... I simply wont waste my time posting here. Problem solved.

:dontknow: Your Decision, just saying :dontknow:

Well not to speculate, but sounds like an email address grabbing deal to me, nobody goes to that length of giving something away without getting something back...thoughts of a very old school net user..

Oh my god no. Its a preppers website geared towards keeping your family safe, disaster prepping among other things. Its quite legit and has a facebook counterpart that just reached its 19,000th member. I would never compromise my hard work and user base with a scam of a competition. I find silver and copper quite interesting means of alternate currency so I collect it and give it away at times to help promote my page and website.

I cant post any links, sorry. But if you decide to look up "conservative preppers network" you may find a large userbase of people.

Did you say that your counterpart has 19,000 members, but you only have 40?
IMHO it might be the marketing plan.

I'd rather go detecting to get my silver, no strings attached, all mine!

I also did not remove your post but I did questioned if it was spam....

The fact you say ......

"If I cant place a link to my personal website in my signature... I simply wont waste my time posting here. Problem solved."

does make it sound like you joined TN just to get members (traffic) to go visit your website.

To answer the question, yes, it is against terms of service to link to a for-profit website owned by the OP, whether in a post or a signature. Even if the "for profit" is in a roundabout way.
