[FONT="]Bay Village watercolorist Marti Fenker, 66, died of complications from cancer Monday at Naples Community Hospital in Florida. She maintained a second home in Naples.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Mrs. Fenker was a trustee of the Ohio Watercolor Society. The self-taught artist's paintings, sometimes described as expressive abstraction, were shown at local, regional and national exhibits and brought her numerous honors. They can be found in private collections, as well as at corporations, libraries and art centers throughout the United States.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Some of her work is included in a book, "Painting the Spirit of Nature," and in a series of instructional books published by Eagle Moss in the United Kingdom.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Mrs. Fenker, whose maiden name was Martha Monahan, was born in Kankakee, Ill.[/FONT]
[FONT="]She graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor's degree in nursing education.[/FONT]
[FONT="]She was a recovery room nurse at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in the late 1950s.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Survivors include her husband of 41 years, John W.; son, Steven of Columbus; daughters, Bridget and Lisabeth, both of Oakland, Calif.; and a grandson.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 525 Dover Center Rd., Bay Village.[/FONT]
