“The National Dope Company produced and bottled soft drinks in Birmingham from 1909 to 1911. “Dope” was a slang term for carbonated soft drinks with cola syrup that seems to have been used primarily in the southern U.S. into the 1950s.” Hope this helps!

A bit more info on the company. “Dope, a slang word for soft drink in many regions, especially the Appalachians, was also the name of a cola company that once operated in Birmingham. The National Dope Company made and bottled various soft drinks under the name from 1909-11 after buying the trademark to the name "Dope." However, the name was changed to the Birmingham Bottling Company in 1911.”

That's a really nice hutch, and probably worth a few bucks. It's either AL0117 or AL0118 in the online Hutch Book depending on its height. Both are listed as scarce, and because of the name I think it would do well.

Here's a link to the listing, you'll have to scroll to page 2, just look for the AL numbers.

I think my bottle is AL0117 as it does not have the ring around the name like AL0118 does. Thanks again for the help.
