Another user suggested I ask for help here.

I have permission to metal detect or treasure hunt a 35 acre location. There is an old Indian cemetery located on property first dated use in 1903, however there are rows of rocks boulders and bushes as markers but I have ne idea of the dates. I have no intentions of searching cemetery I'm sharing this for timeline purpose.

There was an old railroad that ran through the property as well.

I'm new to signs, markers etc. so any direction would be appreciated.

Here are some places you might want to take a look at, see what is there.

Red, for what it's worth, picture #3 Small circle is what I got and also pic 3, the large circle. I'm still learning.

For what it's worth, before marking the spot I'd looked at post #2 but not post #3 until after posting the dowsed maps to the thread. So, didn't see your comment until after, the first place was top right on this map. My 2 large black circles are above to the left of copyright circle c.

Hello Jenks Oklahoma,
I needed a picture I felt comfortable with, so I dowsed for your location and used a google earth pic.
Dowsing revealed the following:
White circle: Coins/posthole bank.
Blue circles: Area to metal detect loose coins.
Thin blue rectangle: Loose coins from road workers/people parking to enter cemetery, ect.
Green circle: Area of a little deeper metal object, maybe 1 to 2 feet deep.
Orange oval: Crude oil deposit 4000'- 4500' deep.
Purple square: Cemetery. Some burials south and east of main boundary.
Yellow line: Property line.
(Revised)Red rectangle: Scattered minnie balls, tools, various relics.
Quite a few RR spikes along old RR track area as well as loose/dropped coins from RR workers.
You can get the coords on my dowsed hits from google earth, it may help you narrow down the search areas if you use a handheld gps unit.

Jon thanks for mentioning that, I can remember now thinking about checking for oil, then after started checking a map once forgot to come back finish later. I got a couple hits, check the other maps again. I've not done very many oil maps but I got oil probably the same or very close to where you marked it.

You're welcome Red_desert, no prob. I feel Jenks Oklahoma has a good site to search. Maybe the landowners can check into the crude oil attraction sometime. There's definitely more in the area, but that large one came thru on this dowse.

Oh, I had just added another line to my comment. Yeah, it does seem to be the same spot.

The top tip end of oval and left mid oval area is where I get it the strongest.

What's happening is that the crude oil is moving around. Sometimes the pod/pool is full then drains out a bit. I knew that it was crude right away by the feel of it and the attraction came thru strong for me at that time. Perhaps the pool/pod was less full revealing less prominent attraction when you dowsed it.
I've found it best when crude oil dowsing to dowse the area of interest over the course of time. Sometimes one pass over the document won't reveal much but then a few more times and then you start to get a feel for what the crude oil is doing.....sorta like ocean tides.
