Today got out for the first time in a while to help a friend find a 16 foot rod buried straight down in the ground, long story short his dad had moved the plant pot that they put over it. The reason he needed to find the rod is the Power Company needs to hook up something to his utility pole so it won't get struck by lightning.
He was amazed at how sensitive the coil was, i was picking up all little pieces from an old fence on the property, after a few misses we finally hit the rod, he took photos for me to post here with this story.
Morale of the story: Helping others to me is the greatest treasure of our hobby!!
