I found an old closed church in the suburbs of Boston today. It was late in the day and I only had about an hour before dark. i called a buddy of mine (Johnny Cache Hunter) and we went over the area. there were a few hits and we found a little clad, then I got a signal about 10 inches down and it looked like it was gonna be a dime but I dug it anyway and to my surprise I found this pin.

I am sure we will be going back to this site very soon.

Now that is a awesome pin, love it. I found a blue saphire broach a couple weeks ago, it is pictured above in recent treasures found. I don't think it is real but it sure is a nice find. I love your silver find really looks nice and for sure real.

Thanks for posting your finds and love the pictures. HH, Ringfinder

Welcome to the forum! What a great find. Before I saw the reverse of the pin I was thinking, 'looks like a pin for a cloak like on Lord of the Rings', but your outcome was even better! Keep going out!

I think this is correctly identified. I also think it may be Art Nouveau. (Just a hunch there.) Art Nouveau jewelry can be highly collectable. Wish we had a close up of those hallmarks. They would certainly tell us more...

From the first picture i'd guess their glass stones, look for swirls in the texture of the stone,

if it looks like part of it is organic it might be moss agate, but in either case

IT"S Awesome

Congrats

Absolutely gorgeous find! I know if it had been me that found it I would have been jumping for joy.
Congrats and welcome to the addiction!

Awesome find, Irish Sterling! I thought it looked Celtic right away then to read the hallmarks proves it. Ireland and Scottland has basically grown from pure Celtic without outside intrusions such as invasions by Romans, Vikings and Saxons, they held their ground. Thanks for the post and good luck when you get back there! HH, Mike

Looks like an Scottish kilt or hat pin. Doesn't it say Innish or something on the back, that's Scottish. Totally sweet awesome find!!

Beautiful pin !!! What a great find. I was going to suggest Art Nouveau until I scrolled down and saw the clasp on the backside. I recall reading where that type clasp was after 1906...just a plain c clasp before that. Been a long time since I have messed with costume jewelry and being an over the hill blonde does not help matters any. But still a fantastic find..Rita

Excellent find!
